福田氏はラコートとトーレスと言う，19世紀とモダン・エリアの銘器を弾き分けて，ソル，ファリャ，バリオス，ポンセを弾いています。特にトーレスはギターのストラディバリとも言われる楽器ですが，福田氏の弾く楽器はリョベートの所持していた３本のうちの１本とのこと。本来は指頭で爪無しで弾くべきものであるとも。

［アーティスト・プロフィール］
福田進一（Shin-ichi Fukuda）クラシックギター奏者
名実ともに日本が世界に誇るギター奏者。
大阪生まれ。77年に渡仏し、アルベルト・ポンセ、オスカー・ギリアの両名教授に師事した後、81年パリ国際ギターコンクールでグランプリ優勝。以後35年に渡り、ソロ・リサイタル、内外の主要オーケストラとの協演、エドゥアルド・フェルナンデスとをはじめとする超一流ソリストとの共演など、その活動は留まることを知らない。19世紀ギター音楽の再発見から現代音楽まで、そのボーダーレスな音楽への姿勢は世界中のファンを魅了している。
　2017年からウィーンフィル元コンサートマスター、ライナー・キュッヒルとのコンサートとレコーディング活動を開始。自伝的エッセイ「６弦上のアリア」を上梓。2018年４月には全米６都市でのソロ・コンサートツアー。2019年３月にはモスクワ・チャイコフスキーホールで、国立スヴェトラーノフ交響楽団と武満徹の「虹へ向かって、パルマ」をロシア初演。9月には作曲家L.ブローウェルと共に台湾・台北国際ギターフェスティバルに参加、その直後には、スイス・ジュネーヴ音楽院にてリサイタルとマスタークラスを開講。
　2019年11月公開の映画「マチネの終わりに」（主演：福山雅治、石田ゆり子、原作：平野啓一郎）ではクラシックギター監修を務め、福山雅治に演奏指導も行なった。
　ディスコグラフィーは、2011年秋から「バッハ作品集」シリーズ、2012年からNAXOSより『日本のギター音楽集』シリーズを開始。2020年4月には記念すべき100枚目のアルバム『バロック・クロニクルズ』（マイスターミュージック）がリリースされた。
　大阪音楽大学、広島エリザベト音楽大学、昭和音楽大学、上海音楽院（中国）、アリカンテ大学（スペイン）各音大のギター科客員教授。東京、アレッサンドリア、ハインスベルグ、コブレンツ、全米ギター協会など主要国際ギターコンクールの審査員を歴任している。

Shin-ichi Fukuda
Born in Osaka, Japan, he moved to Europe to study at “L’Ecole Normal de la Musique” in Paris with Spanish Maestro Alberto Ponce. He traveled to Italia to pursue further studies with Maestro Oscar Ghiglia.
During his time in Europe, he won major international prizes, including the first prize at the 23rd Paris International Guitar Competition organized by Radio France, the highest honor prize in Classical Guitar world.
For more than three decades he has been giving many premieres of important guitar works, for example, All in twilight (1988) by Toru Takemitsu.
His recent projects included exploration of the nineteenth-century guitar repertoire using period instruments. His performances of modern music and new music in a jazz-fusion idiom have resulted in changing the very concept of classical guitar music and are drawing worldwide attention to Fukuda’s outstanding musicianship, sense of rhythm and feeling for tonal coloration.
A dedicated teacher, Mr. Fukuda’s teaching career spans three decades with regular master classes around the world and multiple positions including guest professor of Shanghai Conservatory, Osaka Music College, Elisabeth University of Music, Alicante University, and Showa Music University.
A prolific recording artist in his own right, to this day, Mr. Fukuda has released a total of 90 albums since his record debut in 1984.
